Meet Your Mentor
Let’s be real: some of us have been trying our absolute best… and still feel like we’re starting from behind. I wasn’t the “smart kid.” I was set back in school, struggled to read, struggled with math, and carried that silent belief for years that maybe I just wasn’t cut out for my big dreams.
But God put dentistry in my heart early. I was 14 years old, sitting in a dental chair, and something about it lit me up. Still, the path didn’t look “miraculous” at first. I failed college placement tests, started in developmental classes, fought my way through math with tutoring and tears… and even failed the DAT (Dental Admissions Test) twice. I had people tell me I wasn’t competitive enough. I had professionals look me in the face and say, “If you can’t pass this test, you’ll never be a dentist.”
